HowYaDoinSexy launched in June 2003, initially, as a website that showcased the exotic and voluptuous African-American model Alexus; known for her appearances on the website UVProductions and its companion NYChocolateModels, as well as TV shows Ricki Lake and Playboy TV. HowYaDoinSexy slowly began to build a following and Alexus' popularity increased. As we grew, so did our scope and direction. Avid fans of classic pinup photography, as seen in early Playboy magazines photographed by Bunny Yeager and Russ Meyer, we wanted to see more of this type emphasizing women of color, bringing back a sense of innocence that we felt was lacking in most of today's pinup and glamour photography. We decided that we were going to create images that combined a sense of sophistication, elegance, fun, and tease; inspired by Marilyn Monroe and Bettie Page, influenced by pinup artists Alberto Vargas and Gil Elvgren. Our primary focus is paying homage to classic pinup of the 50's, and early 60's with emphasis on women of color, through various media formats. HowYaDoinSexy is the exclusive home of Alexus. Among the models we've had the pleasure of working with include superstar Gia LaShay and international favorite Jana Defi (aka Princessa).
